Satoshi Kon
Born October 12, 1963. Born in Hokkaido. Graduated from the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Art and Design, Musashino Art University. Manga artist, animation director.
In 1985, while attending university, he won the Tetsuya Chiba Award and made his debut as a manga artist. Manga works include "Kaikisen'', "World Apartment Horror'', short story collection "Dream Fossil'' (Kodansha), "OPUS'' volumes 1 and 2, and "Seraphim: Wings of 266,613,336'' (Tokuma). There is a bookstore.
Since 1990, he has also been active in the world of animation, mainly in charge of art settings and layout for theatrical productions. In 1998, he made his directorial debut with the film "Perfect Blue." After that, she released "Millennium Actress'' in 2002, "Tokyo Godfathers'' in 2003, and "Paprika'' in 2006, which won film awards around the world. Additionally, in 2004, he produced the TV anime "Musou Agent'' and in 2007, he produced the short animation "Ohayo.''
Passed away on August 24, 2010. He passed away at the age of 46.
