Hiromi Matsuo draws women in Japanese and Western clothing with a retro and classic worldview. This book is a collection of works made up of works such as book covers and works created at exhibitions, as well as original works including those published in doujinshi. Understand the changes in fashion and lifestyle culture from the Meiji period to the Taisho period to the early Showa period, add modern interpretations and your own arrangements, and think about designs and decorations that are appropriate for that. About the author
Born in 1980 in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. Based in Kobe, he started working as a freelance illustrator in 2010. In 2013, the base of activities was moved to Okayama Prefecture. He depicts women in Japanese and Western clothing with a classic world view from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods, and has gained popularity not only in Japan but also overseas.
