Tadao Ando's Architecture?q2?r (Tadao Ando: Outside Japan)

Review(0)

Categories:Architecture

Architecture is the creation itself that creates new value in the area.
This book is the second volume of architect Tadao Ando's collection of works (total of 3 volumes), and the theme is "overseas work." In addition to 12 major works from the Museum of Contemporary Art Fort Worth (USA) and the Hombroich/Langen Museum (Germany), we will be introducing a total of 26 works, including proposals submitted for international competitions and 14 works currently in progress, along with beautiful visuals.
The construction sites for these works have spread to America, Europe, and Asia, demonstrating the breadth of Mr. Ando's activities. Clients include foundations and companies such as the Pulitzer Foundation, the Pinault Foundation, Benetton, Vitra, and Armani, demonstrating the high level of support from the world's leading cultural figures. What is the reason for its popularity? This book attempts to dissect Ando's appeal from a perspective from outside Japan, including contributions from overseas architects and clients, an essay by architectural historian Riichi Miyake, and an essay written by Mr. Ando himself about his difficulties working overseas.
