AALTO 10 Selected Houses AALTO's residence

Review(0)

Categories:Architecture

A photo collection introducing the residential works of Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto, who is known as the "father of Scandinavian modern design" and has many fans in Japan. One of the words that describes Aalto's charm is "Beauty in Everyday Life." Aalto's house lives in harmony with the climate of Finland, the land of forests and lakes, and transforms living in a harsh climate into daily joy. We will introduce houses that continue to fascinate us through the ages, along with beautiful Scandinavian landscapes.
From the earliest small house, "Villa Tanmecan" (1933), to the three major masterpieces, "Villa Mairea" (1939), "Aalto's House and Studio" (1936), which is said to be a sacred place for aspiring architects. Contains 10 major works, including "Aalto's Summer House'' (1953), his later masterpiece "Maison Carre'' (1953), which has been hidden behind a veil of mystery for a long time, and his last work "Villa Schilz'' (1970). This is the definitive edition containing the essence of Aalto's design, including an essay that interprets Aalto's organic forms using the keyword "fingerform" and explores the source of his imagination, a chronology of plans for major works, and information on works that can be viewed.
