Snow Country (Kadokawa Bunko)

Review(0)

Categories:Classics

When we passed through the long tunnel at the border, we found ourselves in a snowy country. The pure love of Shimamura, a young man who ruthlessly protects his "loneliness of idleness," and Komako, a geisha in a snowy country. A masterpiece by the Nobel Prize-winning author for literature, which depicts how souls touch each other and sings of the sadness and beauty of life.

Yasunari Kawabata (Author)

In 1963, he became the first Japanese to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Four years later, at the age of 72, he committed suicide by gas.
