Categories:Children's

"Finally, I can dig the morning mushrooms and dig them up, so I can finally make them big.'' "My cat's beard grows when I pull out the carrots.'' This is a picture book with fun word games that use five sounds at the beginning of sentences, from "aiueo'' to "n''. is completed. This is the definitive edition of the "Aiueo'' picture book, with rhythmic, carefully selected words, and absolutely fun and adorable pictures featuring familiar forest animals such as Guri and Gura.

Rieko Nakagawa (Author), Yuriko Yamawaki (Illustrator)

Product Description
The familiar ?gGuri?h and ?gGura?h from the ?gGuri and Gura?h series create ?gAiueo?h with a fun rhythm. A picture book that teaches you. Small size, about 13 cm on each side.
Asaday morning
Imo digging
Rolling up the arms
Enyara finally
Big fat potatoes

The following is written on the page in the A line (the text is written vertically). The first letter of the sentence is colored, so if you read only that part, you can read it as "Aiueo''. In this way, on each page, a short sentence is written using the characters in order, such as "Kakikukeko'' for the ka line and "Sashisu seso'' for the sa line. There are many wonderful play on words such as "Oh my God/Carrot/If I pluck it/The cat's whiskers/will grow.''You can imagine the situation just by listening to it. Sometimes there are some rather abrupt combinations of words, but it's also fun. When you look at it along with the accompanying illustrations of guri togura, animals, seasonal vegetables and flowers, you will nod with a smile, saying, "I see.''
The book is full of the author's ideas, right down to the last page, where "Huh?" is written in large letters. (Shima Kadokura)

Comment from the publisher
When I visited Yuriko Yamawaki to request her to make a picture book of "Guri and Gura no Ooji'' to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Fukuinkan Shoten. To commemorate the 50th anniversary, we asked them to come up with something fun for the children. Then, Mr. Yamawaki immediately said, "It would be great if there were cute picture books that children could always carry with them. For example, a book by Aiueo.'' When I told Rieko Nakagawa about it, she said, "That sounds interesting. I'll look forward to thinking about it,'' and a few months later, the manuscript came out. After reading through it, all of us at the editorial department were very pleased with the carefully selected words that came to mind with natural and clear images, and how well they sounded when spoken aloud. These precious words are accompanied by adorable and fun illustrations by Yuriko Yamawaki, creating the perfect picture book gift for young people. If you want to read it: From the age of 3
