Nobuyoshi Araki Sentimental Journey 1971-2017-

Review(0)

Categories:Other Photo Album

The official exhibition of the photo exhibition of the same name, which focuses on the theme of his wife "Yoko" from photographer Nobuyoshi Araki's vast body of work, and includes works with Yoko as the subject, as well as a variety of other works that make her presence felt strongly. This is the association catalog.
As Araki himself says, "Yoko made me become a photographer,'' the body of work he created from his close time with his wife Yoko from their meeting in 1968 to her death in 1990 is a collection of photographs. It penetrates the core of the story and cannot help but move the hearts of those who see it.
Contains a total of 108 photos from the phantom photo book "Sentimental Journey,'' which was released as a private edition, including valuable unpublished positive works from before the wedding and new works for this exhibition. Through the lens of Yoko, Araki's most important subject, we will explore his relationship with the subjects he considers important, and we will also consider the "personal photographs'' that are the essence of his photography.
The title "Sentimental Journey" is also the title of a photo book published in 1971, and also represents the life of photography itself, which continues from 2017. It is also a must-read for the essays written by a distinguished team of authors related to Araki, and is the definitive edition of Araki's photo collection, which has already numbered over 500 volumes.
