He studied Japanese painting by himself and attracted attention as a central figure in the modern beauty painting boom.
Received the 9th Adachi UKIYOE Grand Prize. Selected for Seed Yamatane Museum of Art Japanese Painting Award 2019.
In charge of creating the paintings that appear in NHK's "The Painter of the Floating World,'' a drama adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's novel "The Painter of the Floating World.'' The production process was introduced on NHK's "Sunday Art Museum."
