Deformed x one-of-a-kind sculpture!

This is the first collection of works in Japan by sculptor Yoshitoshi Kanamaki, who creates unique works with expressions inspired by the many-faced, multi-armed (tamentahi) sculptures of Buddhist statues.
In addition to arranging multiple cuts from early works to masterpieces, we approach the full picture of Kanamaki's works from multiple perspectives, including drawings, multiples, production records, 50 questions and 50 answers, and a personal chronology.
Also includes a conversation with Mika Ninagawa, an ally from her cram school days.

About the author
Sculptor. Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1972. Graduated from the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tama Art University in 1999. In 2012, won the New Works Award at the Sompo Japan Art Foundation Selection Encouragement Exhibition. It is extremely popular not only in Japan, but also overseas, including Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Used in many book bindings.
