About the author

Yoka Muta
Focusing on the technique of coloring ceramics, she produces a wide variety of products, from everyday tableware, tea utensils, and other arts and crafts to artwork. Centering his ideas on modern awareness of nature, he reconstructs animals, plants, divine beasts, classical designs, etc. and creates them into colored porcelain. In recent years, he has created a series of colored paintings depicting personal experiences and emotional movements, as well as a series of furniture-like works with a sense of unease that use pet animals as motifs. My goal is to create an artistic activity that creates mutual communication between the aesthetics of books, crafts, and art. Set up a workshop and residence in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
