About the Author
Born in Bitsburg, USA in 1923. In the 1940s, Saul Leiter pioneered painterly color photography and appeared on the covers of famous fashion magazines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.
It disappeared from the spotlight in the 1980s when commerciality was strongly sought after.
In 2006, when his first photo book was published by the German company Steidl, it was enthusiastically received as a "rediscovery of a master," and exhibitions were held all over the world.
Died in New York in 2013.
