A collection of works that provides an overview of the past activities and work of Tatsuro Kiuchi, an illustrator who is active both domestically and internationally, has been completed!
After graduating from a Japanese university (majoring in biology), Mr. I decided to pursue my passion for painting and studied illustration at ArtCenter College of Design (N.Y.). After returning to Japan, he began working as an illustrator. For a while, I was working with oil paintings, but after moving on to a light touch with oil pastels, I developed a digital print-like painting style, and my work suddenly increased.
In Japan, I mainly work on book covers and novel illustrations, and the "Shitamachi Rocket" series, which was made into a drama, is well known. Overseas, he has worked on illustrations and advertising visuals for newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, and has also done world-class work such as Christmas stamps for Starbucks and the Royal Mail. He has also produced many picture books both domestically and internationally.
The works included are carefully selected by the artist himself from original drawings and originals from a wide variety of works. Also includes essays published in manga and blogs that convey cynical and nonsensical humor. Iria Oshima is in charge of the distinctive foil-stamped cover and text design. Text and captions are written in both Japanese and English.

Born in 1966 in Tokyo. Graduated from International Christian University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology, Art Center College of Design, Department of Illustration. He has received numerous awards, including the Society of Illustrators (N.Y.) Gold Award (three times), the Bologna International Picture Book Original Art Exhibition, the Bratislava World Picture Book Original Art Exhibition, and the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award Sashie Award. Member of Society of Illustrators and Tokyo Illustrators Society. Illustration Aoyama Juku instructor. Head of the illustrator studio "Penschi".
