Cute braiding textbook: 50 easy braiding methods and accessories that even beginners can make

Review(0)

Categories:Hobby & Lifestyle

Kumihimo is a traditional Japanese craft that is made by braiding thin silk or cotton threads.
Many people may have seen it used for obijime and netsuke.

When you hear the word braid, you tend to think of Japanese things, but in addition to its original use, it can also be used for a wide range of purposes such as key chains, accessories, and interior accessories.
And the good news is that anyone can easily make braided cords.

In addition to the "marudai'' with a hole in the center, the only tools needed are a "braid disk'', "braid plate'', and thread.
You can use a stool or a bath chair as long as it has holes.

This book uses these three types of tools to introduce 50 different ways of assembling, from easy to advanced ways.
All assembly methods include illustrations, so even those who are trying it for the first time can easily assemble it.
There are also solutions for when assembly does not work properly, and ways to remember when you have forgotten how to assemble. etc. are also posted.

Also includes recipes for accessories using braided cord by three handmade artists.
Delicate and cute pieces such as necklaces, bracelets, and head accessories are lined up.

Whether you are familiar with braids or not, you should be able to discover new charms of braids.
Please try making your own braids while enjoying the color arrangement and the beauty of the braids.
