Bijoy Jain 1965, India?EBorn in Mumbai. In 1990, received a master's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, USA. After gaining work experience in Los Angeles and London from 1989, he returned to Japan in 1995 and established Studio Mumbai in his hometown of Mumbai. Studio Mumbai handles design and construction through a network of skilled craftsmen and architects. He received the special award at the 12th Venice Biennale (2010), the French Institute of Architecture (IFA)'s World Sustainable Architecture Award (2009), and the Hong Kong Design Center's Asia Design Award (2009).
