About the author
Born in Kochi Prefecture. In October 2004, he made his debut by winning the 10th Dengeki Novel Award for "Salt Town''. The Self-Defense Force trilogy, which includes this work and "In the Sky'' and "Under the Sea,'' the "Library Wars'' series that was made into an anime and a movie, as well as "Hankyu Railway,'' "Botanical Encyclopedia,'' and "Three Animals.'' He has written many books, including "Ossan," "Here Comes the Sun," "Flying Public Relations Office," "Prefectural Office Hospitality Division," "Tomorrow's Children," and "The Little Country Everyone Knows." He also published his first essay collection, "When I Fall Down, I Lean Forward''.
