About the author
Shinji Matsuoka
Born in Kama City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Illustrator and art instructor. Studied under Genpei Akasegawa at the School of Art and Contemporary Studies Laboratory. Monthly Manga Galo winning debut. Recipient of the Young Comic Yasuji Tanioka Award. Received the annual award in ?gIllustration?h magazine and ?gThe Choice?h. After working for Tanioka Yasuji Productions, he became independent and has been publishing illustrations mainly for the publishing and advertising industries as a freelancer. Since 2004, he has been a lecturer at design schools and culture schools. At MDN Corporation, he has written a total of five books: "Character Drawing Class for Illustrations and Manga'', "Color Classroom for Illustrations and Manga'', "Composition Drawing Class for Illustrations and Manga'', "Effect Graphics Catalog for Expressing Movement, Flow, and Texture'', and "Detailed Character Drawing Class''.
