Review(0)

Categories:Creators' Artworks

The works are classical yet tinged with modern melancholy, with white as the color that stands out. shirone's long-awaited first collection of works & making-of!

Shirone is a noted illustrator who has collaborated with many companies with her works that give a sense of modern girlhood, with an atmosphere reminiscent of fairy tale illustrations and melancholy expressions.
This is a luxurious collection of works that includes newly drawn works as well as carefully selected works that trace the transition from the beginning of the activity to the present. Another highlight is the behind-the-scenes introduction to how the work is created. Also included are newly drawn illustrations that express the behind-the-scenes story of the cover illustrations, and interview articles that delve into the secrets of the creation. The author's charm has been packed into a volume of nearly 200 pages.
The large B5 wide format and cutting-edge high-definition printing (brilliant palette) allow you to enjoy every inch of the work's original charm.

??Author introduction
shirone
Illustrator. Although it has a classical atmosphere, like an illustration from a fairy tale, the melancholy expression on her face gives off a modern girlish feel. She likes drawing styles that mix girls with transparent white skin and white hair with living things. In addition to character design, he provides a wide range of artwork for music videos, albums, book bindings, etc.

??Key points in the design and book making
The cover is notable for its delicate illustrations that stand out with the white that stands out against the jet black! A girl and a rabbit, a cat, a flower, a butterfly, and the moon are motifs that the artist has cherished over the years, and are filled with a unique world view.
The monochrome part has line drawings printed in silver on a black background. This 16-page newly drawn book depicts an episode related to the waxing and waning of the moon on a planet other than Earth. I drew this as a behind-the-scenes story for the cover illustration. I intentionally left out the dialogue and details of the setting so that readers can interpret it as they see fit, making it look like a picture book.
