[What is Kosode Hinagatabon? A fashion magazine from the Edo period! ]
Kosode Hinagatabon is a woodblock printed booklet with designs for kosode kimonos.
During the Edo period, it became popular as it was used as a sample book at a kimono store and was enjoyed as a reference for fashion, just like in a fashion magazine. In this book, we will introduce the patterns and designs of kosode through gorgeous illustrations drawn by Rin Nadeshiko, based on the kosode from the Matsuzakaya collection. The elaborate design of the kosode shows the Edo people's commitment to style and attire.

Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1984. Illustrator, painter. I like Kabuki, kimono, Japanese art, and things from the Edo period.

Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1971. Completed the Graduate School of Human Life Sciences, Japan Women's University. Doctorate (academic).
Field of expertise: Japanese dyeing and weaving history and clothing history.
After joining Matsuzakaya Co., Ltd., he obtained curatorial qualification in 2000. Since then, he has been a curator at Matsuzakaya Museum of Art.
Exhibition planning: "410th Anniversary of Matsuzakaya Founding and 30th Anniversary of Matsuzakaya Museum of Art - The Beautiful World of Japanese Colors - KIMONO"
