Categories:Creators' Artworks
Approximately 250 works, mainly color illustrations, carefully selected by the artist himself!
To commemorate his 70th birthday, the first self-selected art book in his career is now available.
The first art book by Mitsuru Miura, a manga artist known for his masterpieces such as "The?Pumpkin Wine,'' "Lensman,'' and "Combi ni Maria,'' is now available.
The?Kabocha Wine, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 1981 to 1984, was popular for the charm of the heroine, Elle, who is also known as the original "Big Woman'', and it played a leading role in the romantic comedy manga boom at the time, and was even made into a TV anime. Even after the serialization ended, a sequel was created by changing the publication medium, and concluded with 2017's "Back to the ? Pumpkin Wine". The artist himself has carefully selected and published many colorful original paintings left in his atelier, including "The? Pumpkin Wine."
This is a complete book that includes materials such as self-made explanations, a list of works, and idea notes published for the first time. Celebrate your 70th birthday and enjoy Miura World.

I think it was around the time I started drawing "Tomorrow's weather'' for Weekly Shonen Magazine.
In the same magazine, Elle, a slightly larger, energetic, bright and sexy girl, plays an active role in the space.
I remember that the world of boys' magazines, which used to be sweaty with hot blood and guts, suddenly felt like a refreshing whirlwind was blowing up, and it suddenly became brighter.
Thank you, Miura-san, and congratulations!

I'm actually very happy that a cute L-sized girl likes me!! ?Being popular is actually the greatest joy in life for boys, even more than winning or being successful!! Mitsuru Miura, the creator of "The Pumpkin Wine,'' a monument that honestly and honestly tickles the true feelings of boys, has liberated the hearts of Japanese boys and opened the door to a new era!
At a time when there was still a conservative atmosphere among not only boys, who believed that "girls shouldn't act aggressively,'' L-chan's active presence gave courage to girls as well. Mitsuru Miura is an evangelist of love who showed us how men and women should be in a new era! ?

Kabocha Senpai's work is meticulous in all of her lines and colors.
It has great value as a reference material, and is also a joy to look at.
Anyway, I have one book on hand.

Congratulations to Mitsuru Miura (Osamu Tezuka often added "Mr." after people's names) for publishing his book. You often draw various illustrations. You became Tezuka's assistant at Tezuka Productions in 1976, after you had already won several honorable mentions at the Tezuka Prize. At that time, Tezuka was having a tough time, writing weekly, biweekly, and monthly magazines such as "Black Jack'' and "The Three Eyes Through.'' He was extremely serious and firm. I think everyone knows about his activities after leaving Tezuka Productions. Unfortunately, he retired from being a manga artist in 2017, which is a bit of a shame. However, I look forward to his future success as a picture book author. Please never forget Osamu Tezuka's creative attitude.
