Categories:Creators' Artworks

Noboru Kawasaki is one of the manga artists who supported Weekly Shonen Magazine's first golden age in the 1960s.
Star of the Titans, originally written by Ikki Kajiwara and a representative of sports-based manga, became a sensation. Known as a dramatist with powerful depictions, his hit works include "Isamu, the Boy in the Wilderness'' (original story by Soji Yamakawa) and "Musashi'' (original story by Kazuo Koike).
On the other hand, one of the characteristics of this writer is that he was good at gags and comedies. He created popular works for boys and girls such as "Inakape Daisho'' and "Ladybug's Song.'' One of Kawasaki Noboru's strengths is that he brilliantly differentiates between graphic novels and gag comedies, contrasting pictures and worldviews. Since his debut in 1957, he has published numerous works and is currently active as a picture book author. He is active on a new stage.
This project is a collection of original drawings selected by Mr. Kawasaki himself from among the works he has published during his long career as a manga artist.
The story of the blood and sweat of a man who bet his life on baseball, "Star of the Giants.'' The harsh life of "Isamu, the Wilderness Boy'' and the splendid gun action, based on a rare Western movie these days. A duel scene from "Musashi,'' which depicts the life of Miyamoto Musashi. The original drawings, each depicting a moving famous scene, are perfect!
Until now, no original drawing collection that covers Mr. Kawasaki's works has been published. Another great feature of this book is the comments he made about his own work. Long interviews are also valuable. Featuring his valuable original drawings and a highly readable interview, this book is sure to become a treasured edition, and will be coveted by fans.
Includes a recommendation by Tetsuya Chiba and an interview with Big Joku.
