Shinji Wada, the author of "Sukeban Detective", has released a commemorative art book for 10 years since his death!
Girls who challenge great evil in sailor suits - Shinji Wada is a manga artist who has left behind many popular works such as "Sukeban Detective" (Deka), which has sold a total of 20 million copies, and caused a social phenomenon when it was made into a TV drama, and "Super Girl Asuka". It sparked a revolution in the girls' manga world by introducing brilliant action depictions. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death, we have started a project to create a gorgeous commemorative art book!
This art book is extremely voluminous with 272 pages, all pages printed in color. From hit works such as "Sukeban Keiji'' to "Choushoujo Asuka'' and "Pygmario,'' to early suspense and comedy masterpieces, this book looks back on the entirety of his career in color with original color drawings. In addition, the moving famous scene that once brought girls to tears is recreated in a "raw original version" that takes advantage of the texture of the ink and typesetting. Don't miss the rough pencil sketches of "Sukeban Keiji,'' which will be shown for the first time in Japan, and the concept notes for the giant story "Pygmario.''

Born April 19, 1950 in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
In 1971, when he was a student at Tokai University, he won the 39th Gold Award for the "Manga School Submitted Work'' in the August issue of "Bessatsu Margaret''. In the same year, he made his debut by publishing "Papa!'' in the September issue of the same magazine. Since then, she has published many girls' manga, mainly suspense works, in Bessatsu Margaret. Starting in 1976, "Sukeban Keiji'' was serialized in "Hana to Yume'' for 7 years, and became a TV drama and movie, causing a boom. In addition, series works such as "Super Girl Asuka'' and "Asagiiro no Densetsu'' and the giant fantasy "Pygmario'' have been released. Introducing bold action depictions and profound stories to girls' manga, expanding its reach. Passed away on July 5, 2011 at the age of 61. "Puppet Master Rin'', which was serialized in "Mystery Bonita'', became his last work. In addition, there are many representative works such as the "Ninja Flight'' series, "Phantom Thief Amaryllis'', and "Shoujo Shark''.
