JAPAN Robert Bloom Art Book

Review(0)

Categories:Art

The long-awaited first art book by Robert Frederick Bloom, an early Meiji painter who loved Japan!

He does not show much interest in scenic spots and tourist attractions such as Mt. Fuji and Nikko Toshogu Shrine, but instead focuses on the city and creates a number of works that depict the lively lives of people.
This collection includes 45 works, including paintings of a candy store, a flower seller, a silk merchant, a kabuki actor, and a geisha based on interviews in Japan, as well as paintings from before he came to Japan.

Robert Frederick Blum (author), Masayuki Okabe (editor)
