About the Author
Yokota Miharu
Born in 1961 in Okayama Prefecture. Lives in Tokyo. Began self-taught oil painting in elementary school.
Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art, Kyushu Sangyo University in 1983. Studied oil painting, Japanese painting, and printmaking in earnest at university.
After graduation, worked at an advertising agency and printing company. Became independent as a freelance illustrator in 1992.
Mainly produces cover designs, text illustrations, and book designs for children's books (translated fantasy/nonfiction).
Participated in many book binding designs or as advisors for the publication of Japanese versions of foreign picture books (those that already had pictures).
Since 2009, he has held numerous solo and group exhibitions mainly at galleries and department stores.
