Say Hi To Black Jack English Version

Review(0)

Categories:Bilingual Comics

The English version of a super popular manga with a total circulation of over 10 million copies in 13 volumes. The current state of Japanese university hospitals and medical facilities is depicted through the eyes of Eijiro Saito, a medical resident. Since this manga was originally written for Japanese audiences, it is easy to understand the background of the story, and it is easy to empathize with it. In addition, Saito's actions toward treating patients with sincerity are even moving, and as you read on, you begin to get absorbed in the story.

The main feature of this English version is that there are an average of 50 English words per page. Assuming that each episode is 20 pages on average, you will be exposed to 1000 English words in each episode. Also, because manga is easy to understand, if you read at a pace of 100 words per minute, you can read each chapter in 10 minutes.

On the other hand, if this is an English novel, there are on average 500 words of English per page, so even if you read at the same pace of 100 words per minute, you will only progress through 2 pages in 10 minutes. In addition, in the case of English novels, there is also the problem that it is difficult to empathize with the novels, partly because there is a lack of understanding of the society, culture, and other backgrounds depicted in the novels. In the end, I often end up stopping mid-read because I find it boring and I can't really make any progress.

And Kazuya Nakamura, the author of "How I easily got a 900 TOEIC score with free English manga and can listen to movies without subtitles,'' used "Say Hello to Black Jack English Version'' to score 900 on the TOEIC in just half a year after starting his studies. Although he knocked on the door of an English conversation school, he could not understand what the native speakers were saying at all, and was so traumatized that he was unable to attend. When he next tried watching DVDs of movies, he realized that the dialogue made up a small percentage of the total running time, making it inefficient. In the end, I ended up with "Say Hello to Black Jack, English Version.''

Furthermore, this time, we have recorded the audio by a native speaker on the included CD-ROM. This has made it possible for students to not only read but also listen at the same time. First, start by reading, and if you come across a word you don't understand, look up its etymology to fully understand what is being written. Then, listen to the first volume over and over again to see how native speakers pronounce it, whether it's one episode at a time, or during your commute to work.

In the case of Mr. Nakamura, who studied reading, it took six months, but now that he can also study listening, it is not a dream to score in the TOEIC 900 range in three months. I hope you will make full use of this book to master English.
