About the author
Yoshitomo Nara (Yoshitomo Nara)
Born in 1959 in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. Completed master's program at Aichi University of Arts in 1987. Moved to Germany in 1988 and enrolled at the National Academy of Fine Arts in D?sseldorf. Studied under A.R. Penck and received the Meistersch?ller certification. Worked in Cologne from 1994-2000. In 1998, he served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for three months. Returned to Japan in 2000 and moved his base of activities to Japan.
