This is a collection of illustrations, mainly watercolors, that the author, who is active not only in illustrations but also as an animation director and manga producer, has accumulated since around 2010.
A series of works depicting Japanese townscapes and buildings with a unique perspective and gentle touch reveal the author's deep feelings toward Japan's "towns" and their feelings. By drawing, I can unravel the reasons for my own interests and nostalgia, and the consciousness of trying to reexamine reality emerges.

This book includes many of these illustrations along with notes written by the author, and traces the pleasant townscapes, nostalgic scenery, and the author's 12-year conversation.

Born in Poland. After joining the animation production company Comics Wave Film, he worked on the anime film ?gYour Name.?h Worked on background art for numerous works such as ".'' Since 2017, he has become independent, and has published collections of works such as "Tokyo Storeroom'' and "Tokyo Yako'' that have become long sellers, and is a notable illustrator with many fans around the world.

Mateusz Urbanowicz is a Polish artist who moved to Japan in 2010 to study comics and animation. As a backgrounds artist, he then joined the CoMix Wave Films studio, where he helped make the critically acclaimed movie Your Name. Since 2017, he has been working as an independent creator, making comics, illustrations, animations, videos, and art albums, including the long-selling "Tokyo Storefronts" and "Tokyo by Night" books. His Japan-infused art continues to capture the hearts of fans worldwide.
