Kazuo Oga
Born in Akita Prefecture in 1952. Animation art director.
After graduating from high school, he entered a designer school.
In 1972, joined Kobayashi Productions, an animation background art company. Worked on backgrounds for the first time in the TV series "Oak Tree Mock".
Since then, he has been involved in numerous television series and feature films.
Participated in Studio Ghibli's works for the first time as art director for the movie "My Neighbor Totoro," and since then has been in charge of art direction and background art for most of his works.
Currently working as a freelancer, he is active in a wide range of fields, including not only animation works, but also writing picture books, illustrations, illustrations, and essays. His latest work is the movie "The Tale of Princess Kaguya''.
