Hiroshi Naito's architecture 1992-2004 -- From basic form to basic view 1 (From basic form to basic view 1)

Categories:Architecture

This is the first collection of works by Hiroshi Naito, one of Japan's leading architects, and will be published in two chronological volumes. The first volume of this book introduces 15 of his representative works from 1992, the time of his debut, to 2004. Volume 2 will include works from 2005 to 2013 and will be published in January 2014. Volume 1 introduces 15 works, from "Museum of the Sea'' to "Dwelling No. 27,'' which determined the future of Mr. Naito's design activities, with newly written explanations of the works and a wealth of photographs, drawings, and sketches. Don't miss the detailed drawings (layouts) drawn by Mr. In addition, phrases that reflect his thoughts from the articles he has written for magazines, newspapers, and books are scattered throughout the page as "tweets." Furthermore, in the opening essay titled "From Basic Form to Scenery 1,'' he looks back on his 30 years of activity and develops his personal opinion that now, after experiencing 3.11, is an opportunity to reconsider the value of architecture, and to sound the alarm on the contradictions in the current social system. This is a gem of a book that clearly conveys Mr. Naito's passion for architecture.
