In addition to the art boards and storyboards drawn in the early stages of production, the "Foundation Construction Edition'' comprehensively includes setting drawings of "Takaramachi,'' the setting of the story.
The storyboard is a full-color illustration drawn by art director Shinji Kimura, which depicts the flow of the story with approximately 100 illustrations.
The setting drawings are drawn with dense pencil drawings and convey the entire design of "Takaramachi", such as the shopping street, clock tower, Kuro and Shiro's house, and the children's castle.
High-quality printing accurately reproduces the shading of a pencil. The origins of this meticulously created and overwhelming visual world are revealed here.
At the end of the book is a conversation between art director Shinji Kimura and director Michael Arias.
