Background art for all of Studio Ghibli's theatrically released works in one book

Contains 844 pieces of background art for 27 theatrically released works, from "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind'' (1984) to the latest work "How Do You Live?'' (2023). An interview with art director Yoji Takeshige is also included at the end of the book. This is a complete permanent preservation version that allows you to thoroughly enjoy the background of that scene from the masterpiece.

This book focuses on the background art that shapes the world of a work, and includes 844 backgrounds out of the vast amount of background art that is drawn over 1000 for each feature film. The publication of the picture was supervised by art director Yoji Takeshige. A total of 27 films, from 1984's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind to 2023's How Do You Live?, are "Studio Ghibli landscapes'' that have been drawn using various techniques such as brushwork, color, perspective, light and shadow under the director's direction. Please enjoy it. (From the introduction)
