The boy Mahito followed his mother to a different world.
It was the place where death ended and life began...
Japan during World War II.
After losing his mother in a fire,
Mahito, an 11-year-old boy, leaves Tokyo with his father and moves into a large mansion called "Aosagi House''.
Masato has mixed feelings towards his overbearing father and his new mother,
his late mother's younger sister Natsuko.
What appeared before Masato was a heron man who was able to go back and forth between a blue heron and a human.
Led by a heron man, Masato wanders into a mysterious tower where his great-uncle, the owner of the mansion, has disappeared, and is drawn into another world.
There, they met Kiriko, a female fisherman, Himi, a girl who controls fire, the unborn soul of Wara Walla, a pelican that eats Walla Walla, parakeets drawn by King Parakeet, and his great-uncle, the creator of this world.
And what did my great-uncle ask Masato?
