Hisashi Eguchi (Eguchi Hisashi)
Manga artist, illustrator.
Born in 1956 in Kumamoto Prefecture. Debuted in "Weekly Shonen Jump'' in 1977.
His representative works include "Susume!! Pirates'', "Stop!! Hibari-kun!'', and "Age''.
Has a great influence on the manga world with his innovative pop sense and unique designs.
Since the 1980s, he has been active in various fields as an illustrator.
In 1992, won the 38th Bungeishunju Manga Award for the short story collection "Explosive Dinner Show''.
In 2015, the art book ?gKING OF POP?h (Genkosha) was released. At the same time, for the first time in his career, he held the national touring exhibition "Hisashi Eguchi Exhibition KING OF POP'' for one and a half years.
In 2018, she released the art book "step'' (Kawade Shobo Shinsha), which includes new works from 2015, and held "Illustration Exhibition Kanojo'' in three cities including the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa from 2018 to 2019.
