This is the second volume following the well-received "Otsuka Yasuo's Miscellaneous Journal of Hobbies''. A collection of unpublished manuscripts such as Otsuka's contributions to magazines, interviews, and conversations. Includes tributes to Akira Daikuhara and Koji Mori, his seniors from the Toei Animation era, a conversation with his juniors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki, and essays about models and his favorite car, the Fiat 500. Otsuka looks back on his lifelong friendships with his uniquely sharp analysis, humor, and writing full of love.
At the beginning of the book, the revised original drawings of "Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro'', various vehicle illustrations, animal sketches, etc. are also included.
Seiji Kano, who has been friends with Mr. Otsuka for many years, was in charge of composition, editing, and commentary.

About the Author
Otsuka Yasuo: Animator, animation director, military vehicle researcher.
Born in 1931 in Shimane Prefecture. Original illustrations for "The Legend of the White Snake'' (1958), "The Naughty Prince's Killing of the Serpent'' (1963), "The Prince of the Sun: The Adventure of Horus'' (1968), "Moomin'' (1969), "Lupin the Third'' (1971), "Future Boy Conan'' (1978), and "Lupin the Third''. He served as the animation director for films such as "The Castle of Cagliostro'' (1979) and "Jarinko Chie'' (1981), and nurtured many successors.
Received the 2002 Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner's Award and the 2019 Japan Academy Award Association Special Award. Passed away in 2021.
His main publications include "Sweaty drawings - Latest revised edition'', "Yasuo Otsuka's art collection - "Lupin the Third'' and cars and locomotives'', and "Yasuo Otsuka's hobbyist notebook''.
Seiji Kano...Video researcher. Specially appointed professor at Tokyo Zokei University. Lecturer at Asia University, Joshibi University of Art and Design, and Taisho University. Planning advisor for "Isao Takahata Exhibition: What we left behind in Japanese animation" and in charge of writing the catalog. His books include "The Complete Works of Hayao Miyazaki'', "The People Who Built Japanese Animation: New Edition'', "Lupin the Third Part 1 Storyboard Collection'', and "Otsuka Yasuo's Miscellaneous Journal of Hobbies''.
