This art book contains a wealth of color drawings from masterpieces of military manga, from the "Battlefield Romance Series'' that debuted serially in magazines to hit works such as "Area 88'', "Phantom Burai'' (original work by Sho Fumimura), and "RAISE''.
A must-see is the detailed mechanical drawings from motorcycle and rally manga such as "Futari Taka'', "O'clock on the Left'', and "Gaddem''.

About the Author
Born April 26, 1951 in Osaka Prefecture. She became interested in girls' manga since high school, and moved to Tokyo after graduating from high school. In 1972, he was selected as an honorable mention in the Ribon Manga Award, and in 1973, he made his debut by publishing "What's a Vampire?'' in the April special issue of "Ribon.'' In February of the same year, he married Kayono Saeki, a manga artist, and in March he joined Leiji Matsumoto's Reijisha. After working as an assistant for about three and a half years, he became independent in 1977 and made his full-fledged debut by serializing the "Battlefield Romance Series'' in "Monthly Play Comic.'' Furthermore, in the same year, "Phantom Burai'' (original work by Sho Fumimura), which was published in "Special Shonen Sunday'', became a hit and quickly attracted attention. Since then, it has gained the support of many fans with its detailed mechanical descriptions and stories featuring charming characters. In 1985, he won the 30th Shogakukan Manga Award for Area 88 and Futari Taka. In addition to aviation manga and car action stories, his works with female protagonists, such as "Cleopatra D.C.'' and "Desert Rose,'' have also excited fans.
