About the Author
Kaoru Shintani... Born April 26, 1951, from Osaka Prefecture.
She has been interested in girls' manga since high school, and moved to Tokyo after graduating from high school.
In 1972, he was selected as an honorable mention in the Niribon Manga Award, and in 1973 he made his debut by publishing "What's a Vampire?'' in the April special issue of "Ribon.''
In February of the same year, he married Kayono Saeki, a manga artist, and in March he joined Leiji Matsumoto's Reijisha.
After working as an assistant for about three and a half years, he became independent in 1977 and made his full-fledged debut by serializing the "Battlefield Romance Series'' in "Monthly Play Comic.''
Furthermore, in the same year, "Phantom Burai'' (original work/Sho Fumimura), published in "Special Edition Shonen Sunday'', became a hit and quickly attracted attention.
Since then, it has gained the support of many fans with its detailed mechanical descriptions and stories featuring charming characters.
In 1985, won the 30th Shogakukan Manga Award for Area 88 and Futari Taka.
