[Work Description]

[STORY]
A mammoth housing complex in the suburbs where suspicious deaths occur frequently. The police begin an investigation without knowing whether it is the work of a spirit or curse, or an accident or incident, but at first glance the inside of the housing complex, where children are playing innocently, appears to be peaceful. Meanwhile, the things that appear suspicious to the investigator are an alcoholic man who hangs around during the day, a large man who appears to be mentally retarded, a ronin student who seems to be suffering from exam neuroses, a housewife who is rumored to have gone crazy since having a miscarriage, and an old man who appears to have dementia sunbathing on a bench... After the suspicious death of another detective who was investigating, Etsuko, a girl who moves to a housing complex with her family, has some kind of supernatural power hidden within her body...!

About the author
Manga artist and film director. Born in Miyagi Prefecture.
Debuted in 1973 in "Manga Action". His representative works include "Domu'' and "AKIRA.''
In 1988, the animated film "AKIRA" that he produced received high praise outside of Japan and became the forerunner of the Japanese anime movement (Japanimation) overseas.
In 2013, received the Medal with Purple Ribbon from the Japanese government. In 2014, he was awarded the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government.
2015, 42nd Angoul?me International Comics Festival Grand Prize (France).
